Terracotta Warriors

Someone called the Terracotta Warriors the Eighth Wonder of the World and the Government has built a suitable tourist attraction out of it. There is no as much to see as you might imagine and what there is has been pieced together like a 3D jigsaw.

Afterwards we visited Banpo which is a Neolithic site very well done. Difficult to give a flavour of it but here is a model of what a pottery kiln looked like.

Went to a Tang Dynasty Dance Show last night which owed more to Bollywood than China.

I see that I missed out the Monastery at Xiahe which is in Tibet. So here are some yellow hats and a flower made from butter.

Today it is going round the walls of Xian and off to Shanghai in the evening. I have got to the 'I'd like to go home' stage and I really miss cheese.
